The Things Unsaid

One Broken Relationship; Two Broken Hearts. Two Sides To The Story; Which Side Will You Choose?

Starring: James Morgan, Lauren Phillips

Written & Directed by Daniel Lyddon

In 2006 Seraphim Pictures released its first short film The Things Unsaid, a mockumentary-style portrayal of the breakup of a young couple in a close-knit community in the South Wales valleys. Told in a series of interview segments, The Things Unsaid examined the importance of communication in relationships and acknowledged that there are two sides to every story, yet we usually choose to accept one version as the truth. The film, starring Lauren Phillips (S4C's Pobol Y Cwm, BBC's Torchwood) and James Morgan (BBC's The Indian Doctor, Crypt TV's The Corpse Series) was screened at a premiere event in Cardiff Bay, before company director Daniel Lyddon attended the 59th Festival de Cannes, where the film played out of competition at the Short Film Corner of the Marche du Film at the Palais des Festival et Congres.

Seraphim Pictures was able to promote the film during the Cannes Film Festival thanks to support from Wales Trade International's Tradeshow Access Programme.
