SYNOPSIS

In our not-to-distant future, a couple living in a dystopian society that regulates relationships wakes up one morning to find they are no longer allowed to touch. Determined to stay together, they must search for a way to defy the system that controls their lives. How far will Jamie and Sofia go to save their union?

ABOUT THE FILM

Expiry was produced independently in South Wales and screened in the Official Selection of the Boston Sci-Film Festival (2020), the Lebanese International Film Festival (2020), and the Shockfest Silver Bullet Screenings (2021), before securing North American distribution via Cinedigm, UK distribution via Prime Video Direct, and distribution throughout Africa via WaChing. The film's story of a couple prevented from physical contact by an oppressive authoritarian system is resonating with post-Pandemic audiences who were prevented from spending time with loved ones during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
