Seraphim Pictures │ The Story So Far

A combination of the partners' experience in directing, writing and acting, Seraphim Pictures was founded in January 2006 to tap into a growing skills base within the creative industries in South Wales. We began life as a hybrid company, mixing corporate and creative projects that included a mix of events coverage and corporate movies. Covering the area of South Wales between Cardiff and Swansea produced content for online and new media consumption as well as social media optimisation for businesses.

Our creative projects developed as a direct result of our events coverage - we began to film behind-the-scenes documentaries at modern arts events, giving those outside of the spotlight the chance to tell their stories. Moving from stage to screen we documented the making of short films in South Wales which in turn opened a door into the film industry.

The word Seraphim is the plural of the Hebrew "seraph" meaning 'fiery serpent,' which itself stems from "saraph," 'to consume with fire.' In medieval angelology they are placed highest in the hierarchy of angels; the foremost of the angelic choirs. From this we divine the name of the Partnership; to express our passion for our work and our aim to be among the foremost of our peers.
